Our club night is Friday, with a weekly competition game starting at 7.15 p.m., followed by social games.

On the first Friday evening of every month, we hold an open melee (new partners in every round) for members, guests and visitors alike and also, from May until Autumn, we have melees at 10.30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesdays in the month when visitors are also welcome.

We also hold Sunday melees approx once a month when all are welcome.

The terrain can provide up to 8 lanes for competitions and has floodlighting to allow play all year round.

We enter teams in the West Midlands Summer League, the Inter-Club Tournament and the National Knockout and members also enter the Regional Pairs and Triples competitions, plus local competitions throughout the year. Some members have represented the West Midlands Region at national level and England at international level.

We are keen to attract new members of all ages, especially at the younger end of the age spectrum (free club membership for under-18's),

The Burnt Post pub offers an excellent range of real ales and also has an extensive menu, with food served from midday to 9pm

The Half Crown PC is based in the village of Stockton deep in the heart of Warwickshire. We are very active in promoting and enjoying the game of pétanque. We play socially, seriously, internationally (through our exchanges with Pétanque clubs from France and Germany), but most importantly, we have fun.

Our facilities are extremely good, with eight international-sized terrains and the ability to host competitions of up to 24 teams very comfortably.  We are attached to a thriving pub – The Crown Inn – which gives us all the facilities we need, including a top notch restaurant, bar snacks, fine wines and real ales, as well as club house facilities for our social events.

On the social side we play every Saturday from 2pm and on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm, and welcome newcomers to join in. We can lend you some boules, instruct you in rules of the game and ensure that you have an interesting experience, whether you are 8 or 80 years old.

If you want to know more about the Half Crown Pétanque Club give John Emberton a call on 01926 814267, visit us at The Crown Inn, Stockton or visit our web site: www.halfcrownpetanque.org.uk

The Club is based at the Whitnash Sports and Social Club, near Leamington Spa, where the Club has developed a fantastic purpose-built, 17m x 30m floodlit terrain.  The Club is continually improving its facility with the latest additions being a large competitor/spectator shelter and benches around the terrain.  In addition to this they have an additional 17m x 22m area adjacent to the new terrain, which can be used for additional lanes, providing them with an extremely large facility available for play all year round.
