RULES
1.
The competition will be played under the WMPA Competition Rules.
2.
Entry is restricted to members of the WMPA.
3.
This will be a fixed pairs competition run over 8 rounds with 4 rounds either
side of Christmas.
4.
Players changing partners for different rounds will accrue points for separate
teams.
5.
The format of the competition will be the Clock System.
6.
The first round will run on one complete clock.
7.
On completion of each round the teams will be ranked on games won and
points difference.
8.
After registration for the 2nd and subsequent rounds the pairs will be divided
into 2 divisions, according to ranking, with each run on a separate clock.
9.
Division one will comprise half or less of the number of teams present in
ranked order.
10.
Four games will be played in each round.
11.
One point will be awarded to each team for each game won on the day.
12.
Final places will be determined according to the total number of games won
and points difference in the best five rounds for each pair.
13.
In the event of a tie the honours will be shared.

The Winter Pairs will be run over 8 rounds with 4 before Christmas and 4 after.
